Thierry Mugler, known for introducing lines of perfumes that have distinct personalities, claims that each of his fragrances has a story to tell. From the soft feminine Angel that reminds one of childhood memories to the invincible feel of Angel Men that brings the heroism of comic books right out to the real world, Thierry Mugler perfume lines have carved a niche of fantasy for themselves in the world of fragrances.

angel-perfumeAngel Perfume:

Launched in 1992, this women’s line is classified as having a refreshing, oriental, woody fragrance. A combination of vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli, accompanied with notes of fresh citrus, melons, peaches, and plums makes this scent a heavenly daytime wear.

Alien Perfume:

The first women’s fragrance not based on the Angel theme, Alien was introduced in 2005 and was modeled by Tina Baltzer. A blend of amber, woods, orange blossom, green notes and vanilla, this scent stands out boldly as a woody amber fragrance.

Innocent Perfume:

This feminine scent has top notes of pure mandarin, honey, and fresh almonds. Hints of gourmet pastries – meringue, pralines, and sugared almonds topped with black currant jam give this fragrance a unique blend. Released in 1999 as a day time wear, this line was known as “Angel Innocent” until 2004.

Mugler Cologne:

A unisex fragrance based on a soap, this 2001 release contains the proprietary “S-molecule”. A blend of citrus notes give it a “fresh out of the shower” feel and white musk adds a sense of warmth to this sensual aroma.

A Men:

Known as “Angel Men” in US/Canada and Middle East due to trademark issues, this line is for the man of strength. The scent is inspired by the vision of an imaginary hero moving through a legendary universe in which past, present and future merge. With woody and fiery notes of mint, coffee, chocolate, tonka bean, caramel, lavender, and tar, this fragrance is recommended as a daytime wear.

B Men:

The fragrance for the Superhero, B* Men conveys vibrancy and power. A combination of modern woody notes and green spicy accents make this 2004 release a dynamic, masculine, spicy, and seductive scent. Inspired by comic books of the 50s, this line conjures up an image of a dynamic universe of speed and action.

Eau de Star:

Launched in 2007 to mark the 15 year anniversary of Thierry Mugler, Eau de Star is targeted at a younger audience that found angel to be too strong a scent. Described as an aquatic, oriental fragrance, this fragrance has base notes of vanilla and patchouli and was designed to pay tribute to a woman’s desire to be deliciously irresistible.

Ice Men:

Intermingling warm and cold sensations of patchouli and iced-coffee make this 2007 release an ultimately virile fragrance. Described as a blast of polar energy, this bold scent also has notes of Frosted Nutmeg, Vanilla, and Mimosa. The warm woody side of the fragrance gives it the masculine feel packed with charisma, power, and sensuality, and the cool effect of the iced notes awakens the senses and leaves the skin tingling.
