Ferragamo Incanto Grows Up: New Ferragamo Incanto ...

After 80 years of excellence in the craft of shoemaking, Ferragamo has realized that its star perfume line Ferragamo Incanto needs to grow up. The name Incanto conjures images of an exotic elixir, spell-binding and enchanting. But far from the mystery of its name sits the Ferragamo line of Incanto perfumes, steeped with fun-loving fruity notes.

Fashioned into pretty pastel baubles, these Ferragamo fragrances entice their target audience with subtitles like Charms, Heavens and Dream. These previous Incanto perfumes were centered around fun-loving fruity notes. But the sugary tones of exotic flowers can easily make these energetic perfumes… dated. Ok, so it was cute to go around smelling like a Lifesaver candy, for a time being. But once that fruity smell of a candy shop became anyone’s signature—a fragrant calling card if you will—it’s not cute.

Now, not to fret. The delightful Ferragamo brand has created another Incanto perfume. This time the aura of timeless elegance, which is molded so seamlessly into their brand’s earliest elegant handcrafted shoes, is fully integrated.  We’re hoping the light florals will be expressed like the lovable spring flowers in the YSL Paris perfumes.

Created by Sophie Labbe, Incanto Bloom is a warm rush of breezy spring florals. The light freshness is sweet and overall the flowers are welcoming. For this comforting rise into sophistication, Ferragamo’s fragrance line has earned a new lease on life. The notes that we thank for this act of service are champaca, musk and cashmere wood. The luminous floral heart is comprised of grapefruit flowers, freesia, tea roses, champaca, musk and cashmere wood. Incanto Bloom will be launched in March 2010, and will probably be competing with the top spring French perfumes.
