It’s well-blended with each floral note perfectly intertwined. The intense melange of this garden delight features rose, mandarin, lily, tuberose, marigold, orange flower, jasmine ylang-ylang, sandalwood and vetiver. This classic fragrance isn’t exactly sexy nor sensual, but rather a romantic bouquet of a thousand flowers combined. The head notes are indeed overflowing with florals, cloying when over-applied. The fragrance slowly dissipates into a musky base that brings out a warm, elegant ambiance.

The ad campaign features a beautiful bride on her wedding day. Clad in an elegant white gown, serene, radiating an aura of completeness; such completeness only a mature scent can deliver. That’s why Beautiful is such a popular choice for brides. Sophisticated and lovely, it never fails to draw attention and compliments especially from men.

Perfume reviews are aplenty – some love its classic floral scent and some think it’s too 80′s. According to one perfume review, “Ironically, what makes this formula a success is also what turns potential wearers away. It is a blend. Solitary notes and distinct evolution are not part of Beautiful’s personality. It is a budding garden delight. A floral rush, powerful & heady. Beautiful dares your nose to name each note, which is nearly impossible to achieve. This of course may lead to the problem of over-application. Remember: More is not always better!” On the contrary, this perfume reviewer thought otherwise,”I use to wear this daily for about 10 years. I had a younger person tell me I smelt like her Granny. (I guess she wore it too) While it is floral and very nice, I just got tired of shelling out the dough, when there is so many nice ones out there that dont cost an arm & a leg.”

Beautiful was introduced in 1986 and was designed by perfumer Sophia Grojsman. Following Beautiful’s successful launch, flankers of the original ensued: Beautiful Sheer, Beautiful Spring Veil, Beautiful Love and the most recent spin-off, Beautiful Summer Bouquet.
