Armani Code for Women is one of those wonderfully rare perfumes. The tall laced bottle speaks of sweet seduction in fading colors—dusty blue to slate, and ice blue to black. This perfume begins with warming tones of orange blossom and jasmine. As the jasmine begins to bloom and unfold its intoxicating scent, a small slice of a crisp pear begins to appear. The orange blossom smell is heightened by herbal lavender and heated honey. From the base calls out an indistinct blur of woods, which is absolutely wonderful for those who can’t stand the heavy-plodding lower registers of powdered and spiced woods. You could say that this is a youthful version of the serious and deep floral oriental perfumes. It’s a deeply warm perfume—sweet and spiced, and at the same time, citrusy and zingy.
