New DKNY Pure: DKNY Retreats Further Into Simplici...
Simplicity, love, minimalism. These were all things that were important in the 1990s, and just about flew through the window during the economic boom of the Noughties. During its height, this simple phase in fashion focused on purity, natural and feelings. It revealed itself in all tones of mute colors and simple lines.

Though we loved the minimalist perfumes Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Prada perfume, we hoped the minimalist era (boring!) was long gone. With the rise of messy haircuts, crazy accessories chanelling the Victorian age, and the delightful haberdashery of the effortless, yet oh-so-stylish street chic, we thought the party of motley style would never stop. But, oh, were we wrong! The recession hit, and not everyone was so interested in the outrageous diva glam and golden glitz, anymore. Through the lenses of sombriety, it seemed like a load of chintz to many.
So with the tail-end of the recession weighing down, some fashion designers are courting minimallism once again. With the tag line, “In the world that moves so fast, encounter a moment of peace”, DKNY introduces DKNY Pure, which features notes of vanilla, dew-drop, lotus, rose, transparent jasmine, freesia, orchid, white amber, and sandalwood.
So push aside any desire for the latest Kim Kardashian perfume, and smell something tasteful, simple and pure!
Come to think of it, trend or not, the minimalist mentality has long been a DKNY thing! After all, the DKNY brand has always maintained an aura of simplicity by offering professional basics and focusing on simple lines. So it seems DKNY is truly finding its voice with this perfume.
So if there’s one thing for sure, this recession will have brought out some centered consumers looking to buy a little something to feel natural and simple. Because, ya know, that’s something money can buy! Smart move, Donna!

Created by Sophie Labbe, Incanto Bloom is a warm rush of breezy spring florals. The light freshness is sweet and overall the flowers are welcoming. For this comforting rise into sophistication, Ferragamo’s fragrance line has earned a new lease on life. The notes that we thank for this act of service are champaca, musk and cashmere wood. The luminous floral heart is comprised of grapefruit flowers, freesia, tea roses, champaca, musk and cashmere wood. Incanto Bloom will be launched in March 2010, and will probably be competing with the top spring
Animalic perfumes are perfumes that maximize the natural musky smell secreted by animals. Civet, musk, ambergris—these are common scents that you could find secreted by animals. While musk is quite light and common, civet is a little more difficult to swallow. Ambergris, in its true form, is now difficult to access. Original ambergris and soft amber (a synthetic scent that mimics this precious aromatic material that’s excreted from whale’s glands by mixing resinous labdanum and vanilla) are warm, earthy, resinous scents. The soft, sweet glowing amber is a popular basenote in most woman’s perfumes. Popular musk scents are
Have your doubts about natural body odors and pheromones playing a part in attraction? Well, a recent study revealed that men found the T-shirts of fertile women more pleasant smelling than those of non-fertile women. Dr. Miller of this experiment says this demonstrates that men’s testosterone levels are kicked up when they smell a woman
